Patrons with overdue materials receive notices at 3, 7, and 21 days overdue by telephone, email, or text message. Notification preferences can be modified from your online account or by calling the library.

PVLD does not have daily overdue fines. However, at 30 days overdue, a Bill for Replacement of the overdue item(s) is mailed through the U.S. mail.  Failure to return materials may result in the borrower’s account being turned over to Unique National Collections, a materials recovery agency, and an additional $15.00 processing fee is charged.

Damaged or lost items are charged to the patron for the replacement cost of the item plus a processing fee.  We do not accept patron-purchased replacement items.

Please read about our Claims Return process for items that are believed to have been returned.
