Study Room Use Policy

Library Board Approved Policy 5020.8 and 6060.0

  • Study rooms are not locked
  • The library is not responsible for belongings left in the rooms
  • Only one session may be checked out at a time
  • Use of study rooms must begin within 10 minutes of the time indicated on the checkout card or the session is forfeited to the next user with the appropriateĀ checkout card
  • The card with the study room letter and session begin/end time must be displayed in the window while the room is in use or the session is forfeited
  • At the conclusion of a session, study room cards must be returned to the circulation desk
  • A $15 replacement fee will be charged to the library card if the study room card is not returned
  • Disruptive or excessive noise will result in being expelled from the study room and future use of the rooms will be blocked on the library card
  • Abuse, vandalism, defacing or misuse of library study rooms will result in being expelled from the study room and future use of the rooms will be blocked on the library card
  • The library cardholder is responsible for the condition of the study room
  • Damage, vandalism, excessive food waste, etc must be reported within 10 minutes of the time indicated on the checkout card or the current library cardholder is responsible for the damage
  • The library cardholder will be responsible for the cost of labor and materials to repair the damage
  • Study rooms A-L are for 1-3 people
  • Study rooms M-RĀ are for 4-6 people
  • Violation of the Study Room Use Policy will result in being blocked from future use
