Change to Palos Verdes Library District Board of Library Trustees Regular Meeting Date
The Palos Verdes Library District (PVLD) Board of Trustees has decided to move the date of its Regular monthly meeting to 7pm on the third Thursday of each month beginning March 19, 2012.
The change was suggested by newly-elected Trustee Debby Stegura, who noted that the only other elected body serving the Peninsula as a whole, the Palos Verdes Peninsula School District Board of Education, meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month creating a conflict for residents who might wish to attend the meetings of both bodies and making collaboration between the Boards of the Library and School Districts more difficult.
Meetings of the Board of Library Trustees take place in the Community Room at Peninsula Center Library unless otherwise noticed. Agendas and minutes are available for viewing on the PVLD website at: http://www.pvld.org/about/trustees/meetings.

The Palos Verdes Library District is a Special District governed by a Board of Library Trustees which consists of five elected members who must be qualified voters and residents of the District. Trustees serve without pay for four-year staggered terms and may be re-elected. The Board has three officers -- President, Vice President and Secretary. The President and Vice President serve as the Executive Committee of the Board.
