Join this Tribute to African American Heroes!
This fun and educational project - co-sponsored by PV Links, The Black Heritage Association and Sigma Delta Theta  - celebrates Black History Month and culminates on February 18th.
Kids in 3rd through 8th grades will select a hero and start to learn about his or her life at the orientation on Jan 11. As they research, they will also practice telling the life and accomplishments of their heroes. At the Living History Museum on Feb 18, history will come alive as they take on the persona of their hero and share  what they have learned!

Kids who participate in the The Living History Museum may be eligible for extra credit. Check with your teacher. For more information on how to participate, call the Young Reader's Desk at 310-377-9584, ext 600.
