Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

As part of the Palos Verdes Library District’s commitment to celebrating diversity, we are hosting a series of fun family events to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15th – October 15th, and honors the stories, cultures, and contributions of those of Central and South American, Mexican, Spanish, and Caribbean ancestry. President Lyndon B. Johnson first introduced the observation of Hispanic Heritage Week in 1968, and it was later expanded to a month long celebration in 1988 under President Ronald Reagan.

Some highlights include:

This concert is sponsored by Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn and the Peninsula Friends of the Library.
