PressFriends Arts Galore Writing Workshop

Join us for a fun PressFriends/PV Library District writing workshop for 4th and 5th graders. The free Arts Galore workshop will take place on Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 124:15 p.m. at the PV Librarys Teen Annex (located next door to the main Peninsula Center library).
As an aspiring news reporter, you will be mentored by the PressFriends group of middle and high school students as we prepare the winter edition of PV Kids News. Bring a book to write a book review, and then well go on a walking field trip to the PV Art Center in the Promenade on the Peninsula and learn how to write art reviews. Each reporter who completes an article will have at least one article published in PV Kids News (either the book review or the art review article).

Where: Peninsula Center Library at Community Room
This free two hour beginner class is designed for youth ages 6-18 who are interested in learning how to scrapbook or for those who know the basics and just want a fun afternoon. Children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults can participate if staying with their child. PVLD library staff & volunteers will teach scrapbooking basics such as what products to use, layout & design, cropping, journaling, and more! Bring your own scrapbooking supplies if you have them. If not, supplies will be available to use. Most importantly, BRING SEVERAL PICTURES, so you will have something to scrapbook with. Free raffle prizes! Class size limited.
