THE MARCH PROGRAM WILL FEATURE A NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC FILM, CAVERN OF CRYSTAL GIANTS.
Massive beams of selenite dwarf human explorers in Mexicos Cave of Crystals, deep below the Chihuahuan Desert. Formed over millennia, these crystals are among the largest yet discovered on Earth. Researchers descend by truck nearly a thousand feet underground, and then slip on ice-cooled suits to enter the cave, where temperatures spike above 110 degrees.

Classical Music Series 2010: Christopher Goodpasture, piano
When: Saturday March 6th, 2010 - 03:00 PM
Where: Peninsula Center Library at Community Room
PVLD's Classical Music Series features young and emerging musicians from all over the world.
A native of Los Angeles, Christopher Goodpasture is currently pursuing his Bachelor's degree as a scholarship recipient of the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California, studying with Norman Krieger and Stewart Gordon. A frequent performer and recitalist, he has won several local, nation, and international piano competitions. These honors include top prizes in the California Association of Professional Music Teachers Ensemble Competitions, the American Fine Arts Festival, The Seattle International Piano Competition, and the Los Angeles International Franz Liszt Competition.
In addition to winning many awards and honors, Christopher is an avid recitalist and performer, giving performances in venues throughout California and the United States, including most recently, debut performances at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. and Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall in New York City. He has received critical acclaims in both the San Mateo Journal and the Washington Post. He has worked and studies with a number of renowned artists and pianists throughout the country including Yoshikazu Nagai, Nelita True, and Peter Serkin. Christopher is also an avid chamber musician.
